I wrote in about a week ago that i had my "wheels on the ground" and running with a temp gas tank. Well today I got everything back on, except running boards and did a little mowing with it. Everything worked, I was mowing some of these "Hills of Kentucky" ( I am originally from Indiana) and the governor worked extremely well on the hills. So now it is on to painting. The only problem is the tractors i have been using for the last several years all had power steering, live hydraulics and live PTO :? Oh well, can't have everything
It sure drove and sounded good and I am very happy with the results.

Same story, $1600 '51 8N with a Wagner FEL here. Spent a bunch of time going through "Brave Little Toaster" and fixing bad electrical, plug wires/timing, put proper fuel screens in, aircleaner serviced, filled up the steering box, changed the oil and rebuilt the governor. Put a Chinese Proofmeter in it so I know the PTO speed, at least until I can install the new decal on the old one. Still has some leaks that need to be addressed, particularly around the timing chain case and oil pan (in the front) and the Wagner front hydraulic pump.

Found a $200 Howse rough mower that needed blades, and just spent about an hour on the rig mowing our cleared 5 acres of pasture. It's a pretty good feeling, isn't it?
