I recently acquired a 2N from "my brother"s wife"s cousin". He said that it ran great and he parked in inside last year, wouldn"t crank this year, he thought the starter was stuck. I pulled the starter and discovered the engine is stuck, drained oil, looked good, had antifreeze in radiator (new one), pulled the plugs and tried PB Blaster until it ran out the carb. It still wouldn"t budge, rocked it for days and more miracle cures, nothing worked. Pulled it in shop today and pulled the head, it really looks good, pulled the manifold and valve covers, valves are all free. Cut a block of oak to fit and have tried to get something to move, nothing. It"s setting there now with ATF and Acetone. # 3 & 4 will seep through within an hour while #1&2 still hold the miracle cure. How muck force do I put on my shop hammer (4 Lb) when I try it again tomorrow? I"ve gotten pretty aggressive today with no luck. Tried a pry bar on the starter ring, nothing. Any other hints other than pulling the pan and trying to drive them out the top? This tractor has new tires front and back, new radiator, Sherman step up and motor was supposed to have been overhauled about two years ago. I have my money"s worth in just the tires, but really don"t want to part it out.
