ALL 9N Tractors were built at the Ford Rouge Plant, Dearborn, Michigan. In 1945, after WWII, Henry Ford II moved all tractor production over to the Highland Park plant so the bean counters could keep a closer eye on actual production costs. The Deuce was told that Ford was losing money on each tractor sold. Tractor production remained there until around 1967 when they moved it all out north of Detroit to Romeo, Michigan at the new Romeo Tractor Plant. Ford Tractors have been gone since the 90's altogether, but the Romeo Plant now is the Romeo Engine Plant building engines for the Mustang and other vehicles.

Here are some Rouge employees assembling a Fordson. Notice the ice on the machinery. I guess Henry provided air conditioning back then

During the early years YORK CORRUGATING Co., York PA , did contract work for making fenders, car bodies, and other casting products for FORD as well as other companies.

York Corrugating went outta business about 5-10 yrs. ago,
