Tractor year model?

The serial # behind oil filter at top side of motor was 9N I999I8. The letter "I" might be a one. Back axles had the serial # 2N4015 A2 and under it the numbers 12-13-45. Still can't find what year this is. Might be a 1945. Here are some pictures

Your serial number would make it a 1946 Model 2N.
Sounds reasonable to have 1945 date parts on a relatively
early 1946. I think the pictures agree with that too.
I see you have the through the hood air breather.
That was a dealer installed option. I have it on my 9N too.
Nice looking tractor!

"The serial # behind oil filter at top side of motor was 9N I999I8. The letter "I"

Yes 'I' was used as a one.

"Back axles had the serial # 2N4015 A2"

That is a part number.

"under it the numbers 12-13-45"

That is a casting date. The tractor is a 1946 2N

There are some items on the year 1945-?, that ARE UNQUIE from other 2N"s.
1.Some bocks cast in England. They lacked numerical punches of "1", "9", "6". So they substituted I for 1, "b" for 6 and 9.
2. Cast steel dash and lift arms.
3. Keyed spindles to steering arms.
4. Grease fitting collar, under steering wheel, at top bearing.
5. Grill has 4 holes in center rib, and I think the shape of the others, which may be similar to 8Ns.

I have never heard or read of any Ford blocks for an N model that was made in England...where did you get that info? Not disputing, just did not know that.
