Does anyone have a NAPA part # for the fan belt?
It's a 43 2N with 6V genny.
I know is 5/8" wide but mine not that wide any more and no more threads left to adjust it.

Thanks,
Norm

Soon as I get one will post. Be a short while as need to remove crank driven hyd pump to get belt off.

Got this from the NAPA web site:

Part Number: NBH 2520451

Attributes:
Belt Length : 45.47"
Belt Top Width : .625"
Notched Belt : Yes
Outside Circumference : 45.47"
Top Width (in) : .59375"

no need to remove anything to get the old belt off; that's what knives are for!

BUT; when a new one needs to go on the game changes.

when i put on my new corect length belt i had to take the adjustement all the way to the end and it still took a small amount of finagaling to get it on

I've seen tractors with stinger mounted hydraulic pumps use this type of belt to eliminate removing the pump drive shaft when replacing the belt.

Kevlar Link Belt

Those linked belts are great for eliminating vibration. I put one on my 14" bandsaw and it eliminated all vibration.

Next time I need a belt on my 8N I'll use a linked one since I too have an FEL with the front mounted pump. The last time I changed that belt, it really wasn't that much of a problem to move the pump a bit to get the new one on. But I'll give the linked one a try anyway.

No need to worry about the belt size, just buy a piece long enough to go around, as your old "cut off" belt will tell you then remove the appropriate number of links to get a tight fit. Be sure to adjust your genny back to the center of it's adjustment first.
