"I need to identify my ford?". I have inherited a tractor. It has the number CONN 60156 number. I am thinking about restoring it as a hobby. I still don't know what year it is. But for me it is starting a little more basic. The tractor came to me without a battery. Can you tell me if it is a 6 or 12 volt system?
I am sure I'll have more questions.

Thank you for any information
Mike

how about a sereial number, not a casting number if you want real meaningfull info on your tractor.

pic will help too.

tip: all gassers pre 65 were 6v positive ground.

all diesel were 12v negative ground.

Guessing you meant conn 6015G

C0NN-6015G - 134 sleeveless late 1962-1964

Sounds like you will be looking at a 601 or 2000.. assuming oe engine

post more details.

here is a bit of info on iding a tractor. the first part is about N's.. last part about units with your engine code.
How to ID your tractor by John Smith

You have a newer tractor than an N series.
Look on the transmission just aft and above
The starter.
There will be either two or three lines of numbers and letters there.
You might have to scrape some paint or crud to see them.
Post those and someone here will ID it for you.
