Hydraulic pan

Noticed this weekend I had a hydraulic leak. Upon further inspection, found small cracks around the pipe plug drain. I have looked at most of the major parts places and have not found a hydraulic pan. Where can I find this part or how could the leak be fixed. Thanks.

On what model tractor?

If you're asking about an N, it doesn't have a pan. That's the pump base.

Yes it an 8N. So does the base separate from the rest of the pump? Suggestions as to fixes, really don't want to buy a whole new pump. Thanks.

" So does the base separate from the rest of the pump?"

No

a rebuilt pump will go for $400- 500. You can buy a lot of fluid for $400- 500.

But, if you need a pump, try these guys:

The base of the pump is Aluminum. If you take it to a reputable welding shop they can tig weld ip up for you. Don't over tighten the plug , I'm sure thats what fot you the leak in the first place.

Thanks. Could the crack be fixed, is the pan aluminum? I have indicated on the photo where the cracks are.

if it was a cast base.. then braze it.

if it is aluminum. then tog, aluminum stick ( dc ). or even alloy solder which is like brazing. but uses a zinc-copper-aluminum alloy rod.
