I need a six volt battery so I priced one at NAPA yesterday it was $100..seriously? Am I that far out of touch. I think the last one I bought ten years ago was $35. Where are you guys buying your six volt batteries.

Local auto supply, $85 out the door, this Winter, I think they get more $, cuz they just don't carry lots of 6 volt anymore.

Deka at Batteries Plus. It has a sticker on it that says Duracell or Energizer or Rayovac, but it is made by Deka is a good 6v battery if taken care of. I recently priced Interstate and they wanted $140. Batteries + was about ~$70.

rice depends on battery size............N or a big old Farmall.

For $100 you are getting close to paying for a 12V conversion. Not buying any more 6Vs here.

Today I bought the 6v, Group 1, 640cca at local Batteries Plus Store. $75 with exchange. It is labeled Duracell Procell; the outercase and size is identical to the Sears Diehard I exchanged. Counterman claimed these batteries are3 made by Deka. Who knows???
