I just purchased a 1946 Ford 2N and I and trying to figure out a small lever that is on the right side of the tractor. It is behind some of the steering linkage on the transmission. Does anyone know what this is for? I have not moved it since I did not know what it was for

Thanks for any help

Sounds like you may have a auxiliary transmission. That would be a good thing. Most are on the left. But I have seen one like you are talking about on the right side. I'm sure someone else will chime in on what kind/name it is.
