Some of my good friends here are complaining about mowing the grass. :) I would like to add a little perspective...this is what it looked like when I came in from the shop for dinner. Snow fall was so heavy it looked like early evening rather than midday. It snowed the rest of the afternoon, leaving us with about 6" total.

I enjoy some snow but that would seriously drive me nuts!
I've mowed twice & I'm not gonna complain...

I've seen cows and horses snuggle up next to barn like that.
But never a tractor!
Maybe you should open the door and let it in!

P.s. snow here in Maine this morning.

Joe

So you aren't looking forthe fact that I have to mow the yard this week? It is the first time, and we had snow on Monday, but we are still ahead of you.

Complain why don't you? I had to drive to Fargo in that stuff this morning. Passed by that fatal semi wreck on I94 near Barnesville.

NICE!!

Monday AM I woke to 2" of heavy slushy white stuff....did you get any of that, too?

I just finished putting a new radiator in the 860 the week before.....was too wet out to do anything else. Nursed that leak all thru the winter...good thing I left the plow on....the last snow plow sit??.....I hope.

Tim

Yup, it was pretty dry here too. No wet boots collecting the little bit of sap that has been running. Hoping this snow gets things going.

Colin

Colin....I just love the picture!!!.....The N is under the eaves getting some protection......the cars.....out in the snow......love it when people have their priorities correct!!

Two tractors currently inside, as well. The cars haven't been in the garage for a good 9 months.

Your Monday storm missed us. The weather was nice here. Warm and sunny. I hauled a couple of loads of lumber to the farm from our local mill.

What will you do with that old radiator?

I too hope that this is the end of the snow. It's actually great timing. Ground is thawed so it'll soak right in, and it gave me a nice day in the shop fixing brooder boxes for the 160 chicks that'll be here in a few weeks.

Colin

And there's no need to wear sun screen white "cutting" that grass. I think you're on to something. :)

Colin

Ugh, Rick. Glad you made it safe. I had to run some errands uptown yesterday morning and it was like a switch had been flipped right around 10:30 when the roads got all iced up.

Colin

Grass is already poking through after today's high of 38*. I actually really hate mowing the lawn. But I do enjoy using the N to mow. I need a finish mower, then I can get rid of the green and yellow lawn "tractor."

Colin

Hey Joe, Sadly, no more room in the garage, otherwise I would have brought her in and thrown her a bale. :)

Colin

Last year we had snow in May. Not terribly unusual for that to happen. But it's not a lot of fun. April snow is fine, but after this winter, it'll be really nice to see some fresh green growing.

Colin

Colin...

I took out the brass petcock....original, you know.

Took the old radiator to the neighbors scrap metal pile....have something in mind? Radiator repair would have cost more than the repo...with no guarantee.....

Tim

Bummer! What happened to it? I put a whole in my radiator last fall clearing pasture (2nd time I've done this) and my local shop charged me $30 for the repair.

Well stop running into things!

A very non mechanical friend of mine bought an 8N at auction last year (speaking of which, just west of Perham, Apr26th I believe, spring consignment http://www.bachmannauctioneers.com/#!lakes-area-spring-consignment/cd65).

He got it for 1800 with a snow blower, 5' finish mower and a rear blade. He put a nut an bolt for one of the dog legs that didn't fit right, had the grill fall off and ran a small branch through his radiator the first week. So you are not the only one working on the cooling on one of those!
