A few weeks ago I went plow shopping with him for a 2 bottom plow, I found a guy that had a yard full of'em... He had some nice and not so nice plows... This one is a Oliver that struck me as odd... My bud who knows nuttin about a plow jumped all over it and passed up a good Ferguson and Dearborn... Neither me are the seller picked up on the unusual fetcher... I can tell ya its a perfect match for a N and the best plow I ever plowed with... Anyone want to make a guess are if you know what makes this plow different form most plows...

Is that plow adjustable in width? Lots of bolts there.
Congrats on the new tractor! You'll miss the N tho....

Hobo, you're gonna love having a REAL tractor with decent amenities...

Remember to use the Diff Lock when appropriate... I ASSUME it has one!!

I hope Farm Diesel is available for less than road prices... keep track for your income tax stuff.... (being the season & all).

Have fun!!!

Don't know about the plow, except that it looks like it is adjustable every whichaway.

You are going to like that kubota....a lot.
I held off for years and years because of the price.
Finally bought a new B7800 in 07.
And now kick myself for not buying one much earlier in my life.
(biggest of the B's with a 4cyl, vs the 3cyl in smaller B's)
No problems ever, even working it far harder than it was designed for.(loader)
Filled tires of course, but cast up a counterweight for serious loader work. Even with filled tires and a 3-400 pound garbage can counterweight, that VERY powerful
loader will easily lift the back end off the ground if you hook a root, rock, etc.

New?? You can still find one without tier 4?
If so, I might have to track down one of those little BX's new with the toy backhoe on it....keeping my 7800 of course!

It was the last one on the lot non-teir4 in the size I was looking for I did not look at any other sizes... This one was not far off the price of others I have been looking at USED. I wanted those lower lift arms that are extendable and can get'em for $600 I have not made my mind up yet on that... I got duel remotes and a fork lift attachment also...

Bota has a sale going on they gave me $1700 toward it and 0% financing I had to work the bota rep for the 700...

Y'all got it, it can be adjusted 12", 14" are 16"... We used it at 14" and for the ell of it set it were its at 12"... He liked it at 12...

The front one is about a inch off the back one is dead nuts... He had lots of corn stalks it had no problem with them... That's one reason we keep going back to the plow it was the only one with culters..

The front one had been gorilla welded up and broke on the 2nd pass,,, He's a welder by trade and took care of that...

Gonna write if off its shop equipment  I just did my quarterly taxes that made up my mind to buy new over used and drag it out 5 years...

BTW I still have a couple Fords and IHC for garden work... I have a one owner N I started restoring 10 years ago and plan to get back on it now I am short a N... In the deal with my bud on the n I get to keep those 11.2 tires that were on it but did not get the time to switch out the 12.4's I have been holding on to for the N I am working on... I will take 11.2's on a N any day over 12.4's...

good deal
I forgot to put in my previous post that when working the dirt,
I still use my Fords. What they were designed for and they do it better.
While my Kubota has 30hp and AG tires on all 4 corners and would do it ok, the 'Farm' tractors do it better.
Kubota excels at loader work. HST, 4-wheel drive, 1 finger steering...I'm spoiled.
And they will do surprisingly big jobs...a little at a time
I've dug a pond, moved endless road construction dirt building trails, and am now changing the entire grade on a 2 acre yard.
Bulldozer was too $.
(clay dirt, have to do it now when it's muddy, if it hardens...forget it. makes a mess but that Kubota churns thru the mud just fine)

Well Hobo I will be in the Sanford area first of the month and I was thinking about stopping by the garage to say "Hi". But you'd probably let me run the new tractor and I'd get all worked up and want one. Then I'd get in a row with TOOH about spending money on a tractor rather than new carpet so I'll probably just Keep On Truckin' when I get to the Sanford exit ;-)

That's a real nice machine but you shoulda popped for one of the Grand L series with a cab, AC, and built in beverage can holder ;-)

Don't take no more than your limit... When my kids got into sports I lost interest in golf now they are gone I never picked it back up... There's a course maybe 1000ft are so out my back door it don't come looking for me I don't go looking for it...

It should be real nice weather for ya... Enjoy and spend plenty of money...

I guarantee you will like the Bota. I bought a L3400
about 15 years ago. Have only changed fluid and
filters on it. Sill use an 8N for plowing and
disking.

I dunno how I ever got along with out pallet forks... I have put 3hr. on it mostly using the pallet forks. They make a one man job out of moving stuff around...

I am on a mission looking for home made accessory's to make pallet forks more user friendly... Good by boom pole :D

I have also got addicted to the adjustable lift arm stabilizers...
when I get the rear hydraulic remotes installed I will be looking for a hydraulic top link... I don't plan to plow with it that's what the fords are for
