8N voltage regulator front dist/side dist?

I was in TSC and saw a voltage regulator for an 8N.
I happen to be in need. So, I bought it.
When I got it home I checked. And, it is for a front mount dist.
Is there a difference between a V/R for a front mount dist and a side mount dist? Generators are the same. I need a side mount V/R. Gotta be a mounting plate change?

The VR is the same but you need a mounting bracket for the front mount distributor if you don't already have one and is not needed in your case.

Side mount VR is p/n 8N10505C and front mount is 8N10505B per this site's parts store.
