Prob stupid question but

Water pump (Part No: CDPN8501A) is that just bolt and go.. like when you get water pump for your car or do you need to get the repair kit (Part No: CPN8591B) I have leak .. looks like its coming from bottom of pump. Just wondering which i need? Thanks guys

You take it off & have it rebuilt. If you don't have a local rebuild shop, try these guys:

Automotive Manufacturers Inc
2400 N Lombardy St Richmond, VA 23220

(804) 321-6861

They do mail order work. And they also rebuild clutches, pressure plates, carbs, alternators, generators, starters & reline brakes.

The reason you have it rebuilt is because you know that you have a good core. Otherwise, you get the luck of the draw w/ a new or rebuilt pump these days.

And do fix it. If the bearings go & the fan comes off, your radiator will not like it.

so you wouldnt recommend the one from this site? are they hard to rebuild? Not a DIY job? Im new to this sorry for all questions. but i like my stuff to be right.. You havent led me wrong yet... thank you

No, not A DIY job unless you have a press & the skills to use it.

I'm sure the pumps here are fine; I just prefer to have mine rebuilt by folks who do that work for a living.

Thank you I agree 100%.. heres another question.. My N i had asked about ydraulics. Every one was very helpful.. Now I have another one... Its prob first time in years a mower has been on it.. I have mowed a couple of times... I all ways left mower hooked up... I just have the 1 3/8 adapter. Not an ORC. yesterday i finally got around to swapping out flush from radiator.I noticed that Hydraulic Fluid was dripping out of PTO. I had just checked the PTO for play and everything.. Could the bearings go bad that quick... now I have alot of play in the PTO. Also i have small leak that looks like its coming from waterpump.LOL seems like everytime i get something repaired something else comes up... Thanks BruceVa

All you need is the pump. If you had the equipment and know how to rebuild yours you could get the kit. I am running two of the pumps from this site and they are working good.

If it's leaking AND you have sideways play in the shaft (not the adapter) it's time to replace the shaft & seal.

Not a big deal repair or cost. About $125 as I recall.

Post back when you are ready yo get started on it & you will get plenty of help.

it is moving ... I thought bearings and seals.. i should just get new shaft also?

Get the complete shaft w/ a new seal. You probably aren't equiped to sweat off the sleeve to replace just the bearing.
