distributor

OK? my front distributor on my 8n "early model" i took the cap off and turned over the motor with the starter,,,,, but the rotor just turned a little , maybee 1/4 of a turn and them stopped and then moved again, all while i was turning the motor over? bad distributor? or broke inside? like the timing gear?

Unsnap the cap on the dist. Let er dangle (sorry Dell) Take the two bolts out that hold the dist. in and tell us what you find.

thanks ill do that and let you know, ialreay got
the cap off, or i couldnt see the rotor
