Hello ... wondering if anyone knows how I can find the pulley and hub that fits on the 8N I have. I'm anxious to get my Paulson loader working ... have pump, shaft and mounting plate. Now I just need the pulley/hub part. Any ideas would sure be appreciated.

What does your shaft look like?
I think there were only a couple of different ones.
You might call these guys they have the most common ones.
Even if they don't have it where it's easy to find on their website.

You will need the following:

192160 - Aftermarket crankshaft pulley
192161 - splined hub

Those items are available from just about any place that sells parts for the N-series including this site. If you don't already have it you will also need:

L601-14 - flexible shaft coupling

Thanks for the advice fellas, it IS appreciated. But I think I need a "special hub" because the Paulson loaders used a Char-lynn type hyd. pump (?) It needs the regular crankshaft pulley, but the hub has to accomodate a 12 spine shaft that goes through the axel with a tube and mounting plate. The pump is about 5 inches square and has a 7/8's shaft.

I doubt it can use the "regular" N-series crankshaft pulley since it has no provision for mounting a hub of any sort. Char Lynn or other wise the pump is a pump and what drives it is of little consequence. The 192160 pulley, 192161 hub, and 194354 shaft will get you a 3/4" x 13" long power takeoff from the crankshaft of an N-series. At that point find a (flexible) shaft coupler that will mate that power takeoff with the 7/8" and presumably keyed input shaft on your "Char Lynn" pump and you are good to go.

PS> The 12 spline shaft and hub was used on the NAA and later tractors. That hub was made to mount to the OEM pulley on the NAA and WILL NOT work with an N-series pulley - OEM or aftermarket.

Ok ... well I'll try to call a few places tomorrow and see what they say. The pump did come off a nice 1952 8N so I know they fit the N series tractors. The reason I'm trying to find that special hub and stay with the 12 spline shaft is because those pumps had a nice mounting plate/tube that secured the pump about 4 infront of the radiator. If I convert it over I will loose my mounting bracket (wish I could upload a picture to show you). Thanks again for listing those part numbers ... it is appreciated.

Pictures are always good. - you mean something like this? This pump is mounted less than an inch forward of teh radiator using the 192160 pulley and 192161 hub. The shaft has been shortened and a coupler added for the "up close" mounting position. If you have the dimensions for your mount I can almost surely make these components fit your application ;-)

PS> After my previous post I realized the NAA and later shaft was 10 spline so I'm not sure what Paulson was using - possibly something they sourced. The OEM pulley on the 8N is sheetmetal - not suited for mounting a hub so again perhaps something Paulson sourced.

Wow ... your picture is worth a 1000 words! Mine is similar to what you have pictured. I wish you lived close to MN so you could get her rigged up. If you could share with me how to upload a pic I could show you my set up. But to be honest, now I"m wondering if I could hire you to make a copy of yours to fit my 51 8N? Thanks TOH

I would very much like to see a picture of your Paulson loader mounting system including the pump setup. I can show you how to post pictures if you would like but the quickesrt way to get the pictures up is to send them to me and I will post them for you. I make and sell the pump setup shown but the waiting list is quite long. If you just need some simple machining on the shaft to adapt it to your existing setup I can probably do that much sooner. Send your pictures to:
