well I had the seed planter on EvelyN's lift and was making some adjustments and when I set the quadrant a little too high or maybe the planter was to light of weight ... and I didn't have the "stop from getting stuck up chains" aka limit chains hooked up, ...

Not sure what happened, going past the cam, comes to mind. But, the next step seems to be pull the cover. I'm hoping someone will say no that's way too much work you can just ______ _______ and such and so.

Pull the side cover(with dipstick). While looking inside, movethe lift lever so you can see what it connects to inside. Follow the fork or rod(whichever one it is)follow it down in the oil and manually pull the control valve out---sounds like it is stuck and just needs a little help..While moving the lift lever up and down, work the control valve in and out several times-this should free it up.

Thanks Tom, what I forgot to mention is that the quadrant is stuck in the up position about an inch from the top. And, there was the clank sound.

I'm afeared to get tough and bust the quadrant.

My enemy looks back from the mirror at me.
