Tire drag: again

Found another guy selling Pasture Drags in another town. Little cheaper but not as well made. This guy claims he has already sold several. So you might have some money laying around in old tires. I know I have a lots of old tires. To cheap to pay the disposal fee. They want $15 to dispose of a Semi tire. That is suppose to be an environmental fee. I wonder how many tires have been thrown in ditches or burnt because of that fee? I've seen a lots dumped behind Truck Stops. Just posting since someone might want to try it. Know Soundguy's got his already
Pasture Drag

FD Sprfield must be the capital city of the small tractors and imps. I know they bush hog oak and ceder trees in their pastures but what does a drag do? My only guess is to bust up cow pies?

You left out the Bush Hogging of Black Locust trees. Them thorny trees do well around here. Yes the drags are used for knocking down and spreading out the piles.

Ya locust are great trees there a several types without thorns. I too have got flats from the thorn ones.

Fuddy,
Why did he go to so much work to cut the tires in half? Looks like they would have weigh more and made a better drag if left in tack. They could still have been bolted together.

????????

Looks like they would be more aggressive if cut in half with cut side down but he's got them turned the other way.
Go figure.

The guy probably works at a landfill. They have machines to cut tires like that so they can bury them. Whole tires will work their way out of the ground.

If you read my first post and those ads you'll know as much as I do about these drags. I think this guy is just showing a picture of them up side down. The other guy also cut the tires and has the cut side down. Seems to me that might help to break the pile loose from the ground and help to break it up instead of just rolling over it. For all I know the two guys might be Brothers. They are about 30 miles apart. If anyone else has seen such drags for sale in their area I'd like to here about it. Seems to me they are high priced. But I think most anything these days are high priced.
