Ok,52 8N 6V Serial# after 263844. Color code and wire ga if possible. Also can you tell me if a new voltage regulator needs any adjs or can I just put in the new one ? The reason I ask my 1st car was a 54 Plymouth and seems something had to be done to the voltage reg when the old one gave up. Thanks

he "something done" was probably polarization of the generator, typically done at VR terminals because of ease of access, but is polarizing the generator, NOT the VR. Your generator is properly polarized for the way it last charged, unless something has been done to alter that, so should not need it now. Wire colors are original Ford. Aftermarket harnesses may be any colors under the sun!
