need money? got old tires?

Ask yourself if you can build one cheaper?
If you can't, then its not too high.
If you can, its probably priced so the builder can achieve something for his labor.
You know the old saying there is no free lunch.

I could build one from scrap laying around. If I had to buy the pipe, chains and such. $50. Could put it all together in under four hours.

Agreed it's over priced.
Of course some folks don't have the tools to cut chain or drill a hole in a tire...
It's not a bad idea actually.
Do the tires look like they are solid rubber?

Not wrong to make a little money for your work. He may even sell a few of these at that price. Good for him if he does. I just thought he was asking to much. O'course if he finds they won't sell at that price he may lower the price later. Looks like he split the tires in two. That would be the hardest part. He does sell a smaller one too.
Smaller Drag

dang that is expensive!

I made mine from 2 old sign posts ( delineator ) and tires I picked up on the side of the road for free!

have bought good commercial harrows cheaper than $450, but if he can get it, I guess it is an open market. Anybody wants one near me, come on by! $450 AND it will save me $5 each tire disposal fee!

a heavy chain drag harrow from TSC is 450$ or less.

Ditto on the tires for free or cheaper than free.

people here toss them on the road side to get out of the disposal fee. i could pickup 5-6 a DAY.

the rusty sign posts are scrap metal..

if somebody owns the machine to pull that drag.. and has the farm that needs that drag. they better hope they have a few tools!

Is it a good deal or not? Did you see the tires on that drag, they are half wore out...

Yep, other sizes are available, oh you want a smaller one? Hang on, let me get the sawzall.

Heck there are folks out there that will pay that price because they don't know any better and have no skills for that type of think. Course most of em are not on here, but instead have a new or near new Kubota.
