Can't have too many tools!!!

Why I waited so long to buy a hydraulic tube flaring tool is beyond me. It so much easier to handle those "odd" distances and end terminations with a custom built pipe. No hodge podge of adapters and OTS hose assemblies strung together to get from point A to point B ;-)

Looks good TOH.
What brand did you buy?
Got photos of it?
A good (non Harbor Fright) double flaring tool is on my short list of tools I want/need.
Hobo has posted photos of one he has that looks interesting.

A man can't have too many tools, but I'm trying. SWMBO keeps me in check - at least most of the time. I just bought another band saw, that makes 4!!!!!!

I have had a regular automotive 45* tool that does double flares for many years. But for hydraulic lines you need a 37 degree JIC flare and the heavier wall tubing is hard to flare - stainless even harder. Good JIC flaring tools are generally pretty pricey. I bought the Ridgid 337 flaring tool and it easily handled that 1/2" tube. They also have a 45* version (Model 345) that does double and bubble flares. If buying new expect to spend $100+ for either one. Hobo's tool is for automotive lines - not industrial hydraulics.

(quoted from post at 16:45:13 02/19/14) Awesome deal!
Even if it doesn't run.

thanks, yea, it runs great, it only has 3 issues. a leak in the rad, needs a new seal and probably new bearing in the right rear hub and there's a crack on the bucket lift that needs to be welded. as soon as i could convince DH that it was a great deal and got his approval (for yet another tractor) i pounced on it :)
