stuck clutch

Have 51 8N with a stuck clutch. Could use a few tricks out there to free it up. Tractor sat for a couple of years. It runs fine. Thanks

the last 8n i bought had a stuck clutch..blocked it down piece of 1x 3 works good on clutch lever ..drove it around until it freed..one other i have i had to back it up to a tree..once free i sprayed brake cleaner in the bell housing hole where the cotter key sticks thru..dont remove it ..keep the clutch blocked ..eventually the rust will wear off..but keep the clutch blocked..hth..phil

#1 block the clutch pedal down when parked.
#2 if you can do so safely fire it up in the highest gear you can and hold the pedal down and drive it till it frees up.
#3 pull the starter off and spray the clutch with brake cleaner spray with the clutch blocked down and turn the engine as as to get to it whole clutch.
Or option #4 split the tractor and take the clutch apart

If you have good brakes on the tractor and a safe place to do it, start the tractor and work it up through the gears. Once in high gear hold the clutch down and jump on the brakes. The shock load of jumping on the brakes has worked very good for me.

Once you get it unstuck keep it that way by blocking it down when you park it.
