Original Ford 2-N Generator Belt Adjustment

I found 2 2N-10181 generator belt adjustment assemblies in their original box on a barn shelf recently.

I knew a little about what this was for but with research on this website and the N tractor club I found a detailed history..THANKS. I'm keeping one and selling the other on ebay. This is neat old stuff.

Great photos/illustrations/instructions on the box from 1944. I was shocked to find the boxes survived this long with all the parts intact. This was for the 4.5 inch generator. Thought you all would like to the see the photos.

Great NOS find! The kit was for the 9N-10000-C generator. When the 2N-10000 generator was released, the bracket was included but bolted to the body with two 1/4-28 hex bolts and the wrap-around band deleted. The 9N and 2N generators were virtually the same. If you have two tapped holes on barrel, it is the 2N model.
