Drag Link Question

The rim pointed to in the below picture -- isn't that part of the old rear drag link boot? I'm think it is but didn't want to start banging away until I knew for sure.....

This shows the draglink boot with the rim. It is part of the boot.

When yo install the new cover drive the outer ware plate pass the taper of the stud so it sets in the V slot so it will float and not bind up...

Thanks guys. I got the old ones off and the new ones on with no problems.... I had put this off for quite awhile because I thought it was gonna be hard to get the drag links off the tractor. Used John Smith's advice on his page and each drag link took one hammer blow to loosen....
