my question is- did they ever made a "contraption" that allowed you to angle the plow from the seat? I know on some of the smaller lawn tractors they have a handle you rotate to lift the pin and then push/pull to swing the blade

I've seen the contraptions like you're talking about on the riding
mowers, but I've never seen one on a Dearborn FRONT plow.
That's certainly not a definitive answer, because there are lots
of things I haven't seen.
I would bet one could be fabricated. Size and weight of the
blade would have to be overcome compared to a riding mower.
I like the hydraulic ones, but not easily/cheaply done on an N.

I also think I saw a pic once of the rear 3 pt blade with a handle that allowed you to swing it. anyone have a pic of that?

I have the rear blade with the handle but have no pic of it. I couldtake a pic with my phone but have no way to get it on my puter to email or post it

Very pretty picture Joe.
And nice little snow mover.
I had thought about adding a way to turn my front blade from the seat but never did get around to it.
I would have started by making the pin that you remove to turn the blade captive and spring loaded so it snaps back into place when you lift it.
Then with a hinged handle that you pull with a rope you could lift the pin to turn it.
Set one end of the blade in the snow and budge the tractor back and forth to get the blade angled and the pin to snap back into place.
Very crude drawing below but maybe it conveys something you could work with.
What in the hell is wrong with Modern view anyway? Always screwing up threads. I wish they would just eliminate the darned thing!
