sherman jumps out of gear

My 2n with sherman step up junps out gear when it is in standard range (forward). It usually only happens when under load. I have noticed where the lever comes out of the tranny it is kind of sloppy. Can anyone tell me what the likely suspects are?

Mine has started doing this a little also. How does one repair this? I am assuming tractor has to be split to get sherman out. Thanks

Yes, the tractor has to be split and the Sherman removed to work on it.
