That"s what they just did to us. I placed calls everyday to get updates. They said we will call you in 2-3 hours. Never did call. They hadme check the router/modem till I said not again. Changed the software setting per their request...all BS. Then they admitted the problem was on their end...server issue. They would transfer me to another server. One of their employees told me "I don"t think so". Verizon isn"t going to buy a old server when they are getting rid of all the "copper connections" so they can go fiber. If you don"t have fiber running to your door, they don"t want you as a customer ( quote & unquote ). I am a happy camper now with Comcast with a speed 27 1/2 times faster than Verizons with many additional features since the phone was switched also and in the end, cost is within a few dollars of being the same. If your with Verizon, keep focused. Our service died a week ago around midnight as they cancelled us is what it amounted to.

Yea. Even their employee mentioned THIS is not good business tactics. I've been with Verizon forever. Should have seen a red flag down in Phoenix the day I walked up to their building to ask if I could assist them with their signage needs as a then 27 year commercial graphics designer. Didn't see any no soliciting signs but did get escorted off their property well before I got to the front door. That didn't taste good as a customer. Oh well, guess theres worse around.

I know a Verizon employee & he told me that if the company could have its way, without regulation, that it would kill all land line business now. That it sees the future as all wireless.
