front mount distributor cap quality

Rebuilding my front mount distributor with new bushings, blue streak points, and checking shaft for wear.
Looks to have an old dist. cap and the contacts from the rotor look very worn, and want to replace but I am not very trusting of new parts, especially ignition parts. I haven't heard any bad stories of the new caps or rotors, are they still brass contacts, or have they cheapened the metal inside too?

Do your best to stay away from any China parts they are in fact known to not fit right and cause odd problems. While still not made in the U.S.A. the parts I have picked up at O'Reilly's all seem to work just fine they are B/W

I only use Echlin, sold by NAPA, front mount caps. If you go to NAPA ask for ECH FA350. The only other brand I can find locally is TISCO which appear to be poorly made and do not fit as well as Echlin caps.
