I have a neighbor that has a set of fenders off a ford that has ford embossed on the top they are not like the ones on my 47 2n so would they be 9n or was there different fenders used on some 2n,s

besides the script the fender it self does not go all the way down to the mounting points. it stops about 6 or 7" short and a different part finishes it down to the axle housing

Sounds to me that it rusted out & someone patched it. N fenders were 2 parts; the frame & the skin. Can you post a pic?

Might they be Hundred series fenders? Or 01/early Thousand series fenders?
Ford used two different types between the end of the NAAs and 3 cylinder tractors that had the Ford Script.

Yep, that's correct; according to John Smith, " The Ford script was embossed into the rear fenders at serial number 273178." So about 70% of all 1950 8N's had scripted fenders.
