I did clean all the connections at battery, starter and selenoid when I first started having trouble.
I probably re-connected incorrectly. I will check out tomorrow. Very cold here today. When i try to start it, I want everything possible in my favor. If connection are not the problem, I will hot wire coil.

If you hot wire the coil to a front mouned distributor don't let it run for over a few seconds or you may fry the coil etc. The only way holding down the starter after it has started would help it continue to run is if the wrong starter solenoid was installed and the second Ign. terminan was wired to the coil so that full battery voltage is sent to the coil when solenoid is ingaged. This is how all later Ford automobiles are wired. This temporarily bypasses the resistor in the ignition circuit. Zane
