All too often with hydraulic equipment a guy can spend more on
hoses, valves, fittings, bushings, pins and seals then he did on the
machine in the first place.
But as the cliche goes, it would beat a pick and shovel.

Heck just go and buy it. Remember, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask permission. Few years ago I got a TLB. Didn't tell the wife. She found out the day I drove it home. She wasn't happy is a massive understatement. About 6 months ago I told her I was thinking about selling it and she freaked again "no that's too handy".
