6V Gen front Band Tensioner

What parts do you need? There were two styles. The 2N10000 generator came complete with a tensioner that was bolted to the barrel. You need the other bracket that bolts to the head in order for it to work. There was a kit offered to owners with the 9N10000-C generator which had a steel band that clasped around the barrel. The 2N10000 generator had two 1/4-28 tapped holes for the bracket. Other than that, the two generators were virtually the same in size, shape, and output.

I have a 47 2N with complete gen mount including spring and whatnot. My gen died so now have a working gen I believe came from a 9N. It needs the front band to mount the tensioner spring assy. I could fab something but prefer to have one that was made for the purpose. I am swamped with work, just dont have time to even go hunting.

Id prefer to not buy another gen, especially the ones I saw on ebay. Look to be total junk but have to pay weight to ship just for the bracket.

HCook - Well, you found quite a few more than I saw the other day and many look pretty nice compared to the boat anchors I saw but still, I prefer to find just the band if possible. Missed out on one other day waiting for someone to get back with me as they thought they had one. That one sold for $40.00 & appeared to be new old stock but was listed as new.
