Cold intake valve lash spec, which number is correct?

What is the de facto 2,9,8N cold valve lash spec? I have found several sources including an IT manual, all show .014"-.016 for the exhaust but for the intake both .010" to .012" AND .014" to .016" are listed depending on the source.

Not that the world will stop and rotate the other way if one spec is used over the other but... which is it?

Mine is a '47 2N with adjustable lifters, one piece guides, etc.

Without disputing what's original spec. .002" ain't gonna make a whit of difference, one way or the other.

I agree, .002" is not a wit of difference. Built the engine in '97 and this is the first time the covers have been off. Did not make a note of what the intakes were lashed too 16 years ago, so when I looked for ~.015" and found .010" to .011"... I was concerned the valve and/or seat had worn. Now it looks like I must have used the tighter of the specs for the intake.
