Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday!
Thought I would pass this one along......Bought a good set of used chains a few years back for the tractor......a bit of a loose
fit for the 12.4 X 28s.......well, the bungee routine was getting old .....so I said....this is the year.......Quick links Ed, quick links!....off to TSCO.......2.99 a piece......The Scottish in me says......Bungees are good!......I Check on line....first website!
Check it out...... fiends don't let friends pay 2.99!!!

I get mine at the local hardware store, a little more pricey --$.49, but I can get a variety of sizes (price vary - duh) any day. HTH

Always good to save a buck.
On the other hand, if you put your chains on properly you don't need to use bungies, coat hang wires, twine, romex or other tighteners.
I chain up every year, do not use tighteners and have never lost a chain. It's all about getting your side chains tighter.
My dad used to scoff at people who used all that stuff and between you and me, I'm starting to myself.
 
You are spot on UDog.....and exactly why the quick links ....gonna make the side chains correct and loose those cussed bungees!!!!
 
I paid 50 cents for mine. Made my chains from Semi chains. Three chains (enough for Three Semi tires) is what it takes.
