new coil -still no spark

The tractor was running , we drove it into garage and rebuilt carb now it wont start. We have power to top of new 12 volt coil, new points, new cond. we checked to see if points were opening and closing we just don't have any spark out to plugs, any ideas to try.

Would help if you mentioned what year and if it is a front mount or side mount distributor. They will help you get it sorted out.

Since you said "top of the coil" I'm assuming front mount.
Correct me if that's wrong.

What voltage do you have to the top of the coil?
Should be battery voltage with points open, about
half of that with them closed.
A test light hooked between ground and that post should
blink when you roll the engine over. May be hard to see on 12V.

If that's not happening, points may be opening and closing
but not making good contact. You could try cleaning them.
Contact cleaner and a piece of heavy paper bag clamped
between the contacts works pretty well.

Also may want to make sure the contacts on the new coil
are making good connections to the points and cap.

Another fairly common thing folks do is leave the rotor out
when they put the cap back on the distributor.

No spark if you have power to the coil most likely means the points are not set right as in 0.015 since sounds like you have a front mount distributor or they are dirty which is common since they like to coat them to protect them so you may need to clean them. Or your condenser is bad or you have the condenser wire shorted out

Check to see if your rotor is turning when cranking. If it is I would try another rotor. Hal
PS: Make sure your wire connection for the points
and coil wire isn't touching ground.
