Then the tractor just stopped.....I had been mowing for about 2 hours, stopped to put some gas in, and after another hour of mowing, it just stopped.
Quickly verified that I had good gas flow. Without checking spark, I then tried to start the tractor..all I got was a continuous string of backfires, so stopped for the day and walked back to the house to get ready for my evening sit for deer....
I have a new set of plugs and points in the garage that needs to be put in the tractor....have not had to replace them for 5 years as tractor starts on the first or second revolution and has run great until today.
I don't recall ever seeing a post from someone that had the tractor stop running, and then experienced the constant backfiring.......any ideas?
This is a 51 sidemount, not the 49 that I stated in the first post...
Thanks,
Tim
