Hey guys I have a wagner loader on a 2n. I need to replace loader valve, anyone know how many gpm this loader produces? what type of valve to purchase? I'm looking at chiefton at tsc. appreciate any info or suggestions. loader is jungle jim model #wms 13351 thanks mike

I had good luck with Northern tool the valve is a Prince 2 spool with a float for $249.99 been in use or 6yrs no problems.

I just looked at the valve you talked about at tsc I don't see any thing about float or press relief the picture is hard to see but it may have a relief. For the same price I would still recomend the prince just me.

Most of the loader pumps that are driven off the crank shaft are in the 12GPM or less size since one much bigger can cause major problems with the loader moving way to fast

None of the Wagner pipe loaders had down pressure on the lift so you have no use for float on the valve. Flow rates were less than 10 GPM for the early models. If it is a hydraulic bucket a simple 2 spool valve DA is not expensive. An 8 GPM valve from surplus center is $150 plus shipping and will almost certainly do what you need. I'd buy it in a minute if I were in your shoes. Local suppliers can not beat the price....

Plenty of other economical choices available from that source....

TOH thanks for the info on surplus center it sure looks to be cheeper than Northern. As far as the float feature I should have remembered that the WM3 didn't have down press cause I had one yrs ago.I now have a WM4 that does have down press. which is real handy and you want the float feature with it.Looks like I could have saved some cash if they offer one with float,I also noticed the same brand (prince)

Actually I did not know the WM4 had DA lift cylinders. I thought all of the WMx models were SA lift cylinders with either a trip or DA hydraulic bucket. Surplus Center is far and away the cheapest place for hydraulic components and they have an extensive selection. Shipping to the east coast, particularly for heavy items like valves and pumps, can be a bit pricey...

And the best part of the WM4 is getting on and off you can step right up on the left side the right side has the valve so it's a little harder, the WM3 I used to climb on over the back

TOH I checked out prince valve u spoke of. it seems to have a extra hole in valve for hose. original valve only has 4 holes plus return. Don't meen to sound dumb, new valve must have correct placement diagram is this correct? Thanks again mike

My understanding was that your loader has a hydraulic bucket and does not have down pressure on the lift. The original two spool control valve should have an IN, OUT and 3 work ports. The lift cylinders are single acting and the spool for them has one work port. The bucket cylinder is double acting and the spool that controls it has two work ports.

The Prince valve has two double acting spools so to use it in place of the original valve you would simply connect (tee) the extra work port on the lift spool to the return line. That will dump the unused oil from the ""down pressure " side of the DA spool directly back to the tank.

It would be very helpful if you posted a couple pictures showing the porting on your original valve.
