Did you have the serial number written down or better yet was the tractor registered on one of the tractor registry boards? Always a good idea to take a lot of pictures and -up close of the serial number especially for insurance purposes. Your homeowners policy usually will cover it but since this was at a friends' house, I don't know. One unique identifier is the blue oval FORD badge on the hood -that is not an original Ford Tractor part. Another too is the front rims -not original Ford parts. Those two items are what might enable you to identify your tractor if indeed it is in a local boneyard. It sounds like a local job. The thieves would have had to been watching it for a while to determine when to strike. Sad to see but nowadays nothing is safe.
