Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeLook at the positive side.......you know what went into it AND you didn't end up with a cross threaded oil pan! That's worth more than $3

Or someone leaving the plug loose. I don"t trust any of them changing my oil.

Or putting a wrench on the filter and and cracking it and spraying oil when under pressure all over the underside and up the back end, even on the glass. Yea, that happened. I first thought I'd blown a gasket or something and being still under warranty I took it to the dealer. Don't go to that quicky change place anymore, even it is really convenient to stop on the way home from work.

I have a shop do the truck oil change along with all the other service it might need before towing season. I do the car (Subaru Forester) when the weather is decent, although if I can keep the barn cleared out I can pull it in there and up on some car ramps to do it year around. Filter is in the front and just grab it with some big pliers and twist it off and put the new one on.
