brought home the blue 8n

Well we got it pulled home yesterday, this evening we have to figure out the best way to get it off the trailer. He had it loaded on the trailer when we got there yesterday (wrecked the trailer jack, which wasn't very good anyhow). A closer look in the daylight at the tractor I believe it will be a parts tractor. Maybe bolt the engine to a different one or keep it for a spare. The framework for the loader which has no id tag on it is junk. It almost appears to be homemade and will be going to scrap! It doesn't have a front mount pump it has a tank that mounts on the rear of the tractor for the loader. He loaded the tractor first on the rear of the trailer then put the loader on but didn't set it on so that we can easily get it off. The The grill which is in nice shape is tack welded to the hood. The hood has some typical rust that I imagine with some work and easily be repaired. The fenders are really nice. Ummm rear tires shot. One good rear loop rim. Front tires and rims good. And a spare set of front rims and tires. The steering wheel is welded to the shaft so without a torch its not coming off. Over all I may replace the sediment bowl gasket as he said it leaked or maybe it was the carb gasket and try fire it up and see how it runs. Overall for 350 I think it's ok I guess. Maybe keep the cylinder on the bucket on the loader. Will get some pics tonight while unloading and post back later.

You did good. A $350 parts tractor will always make you money. What I have learned with parts tractors is if you can sell a couple of items and get most of your money back right away then if you have room the rest of it can sit till whenever. Then anything you get is profit even it takes a while. Some day, of the blue someone will want something I have and suddenly I have an extra $20, $50 or $100 in my pocket.

yes that's true! Heck maybe someday i'll buy another one and need parts off this one!
