Front wheel

I have an 8N w/ side mount Dist. I don"t know year, the number on the block is mostly gone.

I need a front wheel. The rim size is 14 3/8" outer and the inner hole is 4 5/8". I don"t know width because the tire and rim are rusted together. The tire on it now is an auto P175/80 R 13 (yes 13). The YT"s parts show this:

4.5" x 16", 2500 lb. capacity. 6 bolt, 6" circle, 4.62" pilot for 5.50" x 6.00" x 16" tires

I do not know if this is what I have or even what it means. What do I ask for locally and/or what I do I search for online?

What size tires are you planning to put on your tractor. 5X16 rim would be the most common.
You should be able to find some used ones pretty easy. Lots of guys here part out tractors to help pay for their hobby.

I already have the tire, it is a 175/70R13. I need a rim. I would like to get one that matches the other. This one was flat and the rim was in contact with the ground and ruined it. Is this a common rim? They both look very old, about the same condition as the rear rims.

I'm trying to upload photo. I can get the photo to upload and it shows up as a thumbnail. I then click on "continue" and it shows: "returning to upload another photo...". It just stays like that, more than 5 min. Am I missing something?

I have 14" rims on the front of my tractor that I bought new. They are standard implement rims which you can buy many places. I run cheesey little car tires on it - tubeless.
I did that to get the nose lower for mowing under trees, etc.
You can buy implement rims in 14, 15 and 16" dia and various widths.
But I have not seen 13" implement rims with the 6on6 (6 holes on a 6" bolt circle)
I am curious why you are trying to keep it 13"
You might have to cut the center out and weld it into a car rim. Did you look closely to see if that was done to the ones you have?
If you buy 14" you will have a lifetime supply of free/cheap used tires.

I don't know about pretty easily - I've had an ad in the classifieds for a while now without any hits. I'm sure he can find one, I just don't think they are laying around a lot of places.

I'm surprised.
What size do you need?
I'm thinking I could locate a 5X16 rim - either new or used - and have it on it's way to me in less than an hour on the phone.

It had 13" when I bought it. The only reason I was looking for another 13; I did not want to buy two rims. So, if I have to buy a couple of rims do I just look for a 6on6 hole, 15" implement rims? Is the 4 5/8" center standard?

By the way, when you say 14 , 15, & 16" this is the same as the "R" number on a car tire, eg. if I get a 15" rim I can use an auto 215/65R15?

If it is the small 6 hole rim then that is common as day light and any tractor dealer or fram and home place should have them new on hand. That same rim is used on most brands of tractors and many pieces of equipment

I should have clarified a little better - I can find new at about $150 for a pair. I've found another pair of used, but for literally the same price. I have a 9n with the 19" rims, and I bought some 8n hubs and was hoping to find a reasonably priced set of 16" wheels. I'm thinking I'll just have to buy some implement wheels and eat the price.

Hennessey........I just went out and looked, my semi-race 1969 BMW 2002 has 185/70-13 Pirelli tires on it. Seems I remember the rear engine air cooled Corvair also used 13" tires as I competed against them in auto-cross. (parking lot racing around RED cones) The EARLY transverse engined Mini (from England) used 10"-rims and cross-linked rubber bumper suspension. BYTE the BULLET and replace yer weird 13" rims with real 5x16 rims and 6.00-16 tires from used tire lot. Alotta Japanese pick'em-up use 6.00x16 tires. ........the retired Dell

I was having the same problem last week. I finally changed something in my IPhoto and it started working again. Sorry, I can't tell you what I did. I just kept messing with it till it started working. Wish I could be more help. It's probably a setting on your computer.

Yes, if you buy 15" rims the 215/65R15 tire will fit. I bought 15"x6" implement wheels for my 8N and mounted 225/70R15 tires on them. I shopped around and got brand new rims for $55 each with free shipping.
