Gonna tackle rear seal in the jub tomorrow. Bought the f-19 manual... no torque specs for main bearing cap. Would like to know that. Got the new 2 PC rubber seal and 2 wedges which I'm still not sure where they go, and the oil pan gasket.....mix that in with upper and lower intake job, o2 sensor on my car makes for a busy day!

Left side of this reply page, >Research & info > Torque Values.

It goes by bolt size, which is measured by the diameter of the shank, not the head.

There is a specialized rear seal kit just for your situation. I hope you knew that. Has some way to fish the upper seal in and the old one out. Others have experience.

I bet it you go and look in that manual at the paragraphs that talk about the engine and the mains you will find the torque spec. in that area. Yep it is there but they do not list them on the front page area of the manuals but in the areas where you read to do the engine work

Got the seals replaced no problem! Old 2 piece rope seals were in it and they were shot! Couldn't find out what size the bearings were though as all they had was a baa-6331-0 and then ford D stamped on them. Was hoping to see a size so we knew if they had ever been replaced.
