value of 8N ford tractor

I have the opportunity to purchase a Ford 8N tractor. The tractor has not been run in at least 10 years. It has not been converted to 12 volt electrical system. All the tires are in bad shape.
I am wondering what would be a fair offer for the tractor in this shape. They said it did run 10 years ago but has sat in garage since then. I currently own a restored 9N and use in frequently to haul wood and pull trees. I am familiar with the N tractors just not on how to value one. Any help on this mater will be appreciated.

Depending on the area of the country, a non-runner is worth $500-800... Basically a bit over scrap. Or, as is often said around here, it's worth just as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

4 new tires are going to be about $1200, so price accordingly. $500 for the tractor plus 1200 for tires plus what ever it takes to get it running plus ??? I would leave that one for the parter outers.

Tell them you won't charge them anything to haul it away.

Ok, I always look at a tractor for what it can be if I put some work into it. Could you send a couple of pictures. What are they asking for it? is the tin all there and in ok shape. Is the motor stuck or seized? As far as tires go I have put many a good set of tires on for $300 to $450 from tractor salvage yards. If the engine and drivetrain are ok it could be brought back for 1K or less including tires. Does it maybe have a Sherman tranny? Its a lot of fun to bring them back.
Where is it located?

Very hard to say on one like that. Ran 10 years ago means ya but how good or bad was it then. A number of years ago we picked up a 8N with part of a Sherman back hoe and loader on it for $100 but the oil drain plug was missing but the engine did spin over. Ended up after about $500 plus a lot of work to run well. So with out knowing if it is locked up and front or side mount scrap is the best I would offer so you figure how much 2500lbs of scrap iron is selling for today

Scrap price,,, if it has a option like a Sherman over/under (not a overdrive that has little value) and extra good tin good score but its not worth much more than scrap even with the options...

Neighbor just picked up a 70 3000 with power steering, 8sp live PTO great tires with a bush hog for $2800 runs out GOOD... I gave 3K for mine just like it...

I did buy a 52 8N a few weeks ago for 500 it had 4 new tires and rims on it,,, they are gone I made my money on the tires the rest of it will not bring much I will just sit on it to keep the locals in parts down the road a few years...

Good tin is what is hard to find for a N,,, A real nice complete hood for a 8N is priceless...

tires musta went up in price ALOT since 2006. My rear 12.5s cost me like less than $400 with new tubes and liner. I think the front 3.5s were around $90 ???

I didn't get a 8N but did get a 2N ,had not run for 26 yrs totally seized, back tires held air w CC in them , front tires totally shot, tin pretty good. Got it for $250.00 , 2 weeks later I got it running .

That thing definitely has a side mount distributor. Must be a mutt of some kind.
