Just changed mine to Rotella 15w-40 a few weeks ago. I'll never use that again as my oil pressure drops to "used motor oil" pressures after warm-ups and a little work.

Dell likes Penzoil 10-30 because of it's shear properties but for my tractor it was like the Rotella. I say avoid Rotella.

Soundguy is right. 15w-40 is what I use. If you live in the far north you might consider 0w-40. I have used Rotella with good report, as have others used the house brands of Walmart and NAPA with good effect. In a tractor that I really work, I will use JD Plus 50 II and love the results. I also use a touch of lucas oil additive with it, and have not had any issues with dry start or sticking valves. All said, JD is like HD (Harley D) you pay more for the name, but they sell a superior product, imho.

I occasionally put a little marvel mystery oil in the fuel.

I used it on a "97 dodge intrepid 3.5L with 205,000 miles on the engine. She quit using oil after that and I sold it with 219,000. I"m sure if freed up something or other in there.
