wanting to go thru fluids now tractor is running
good kind of new to it saw two drain plugs under it i'm guessing 1 for trans. and 1 for lift fluid
is that right ? how do you check trans and what kind of fluid goes in both lift fluid looks a funky brown color how much goes in trans ? thanks
 
Trans, rear end, lift is all one common sump. Start with the small pipe plug so you can aim it into a 5gal bucket.

The 2" plug will let it all out in about .2 sec.

Should be a dipstick in the inspection cover by your right heal.

Fill it up by the start button on the shifter cover. Rated capacity is 5 gal, but it'll probably only hold 4.5 if it hasn't been cleaned in awhile.

Use any hy/tran fluid that meets Ford 134 spec. Lots prefer traveller brand. Fill until its on the stick, or take the bottom bolt out on the same cover and fill til it just leaks out.
 
134 spec oil will be thinner than the original spec GL-90 mineral oil--If you habe leaks, it will likely leak worse with the thinner 134...In cold climate GL-90 will make a slow lift till it warms up some. I prefer 80W-90 yellow metal friendly oil..of course in MS it seldom gets below 20 degrees and if it does, it don"t stay that cold for days and days(If it did I"d move)
 
have two big drain plugs and 1 small
1 big one under trans. 1 big one in middle about where lift dip stick is and small one under rear end are you saying same fluid in everything ? and to drain from small plug under rear end ?

Same fluid in everything, they're all connected.

Let the majority of the fluid out through the small one and then remove all of them. It'll be cleaner that way. 1 big plug to drain trans, 1 big plug for pump, small pipe plug for rear end.
