9N fan

Has anyone had this problem? I volunteered to work on a 9N; got it running- walked in front of it and the fan was blowing air out the grill.(BACKWARDS?) It has a four blade -I'm guessing aftermarket for the tractor was redone to look like an 8N.
 
Sounds like what is called a "pusher" fan.
If so, not really a problem, helps keep chaff and leaves etc out of the grill.
It would only be a problem to me if it over heats, or I want to use my heat hauser. :)
 
Have been bailing hay here, recently.

Next mowing I can save a few bales of clover for ya. I am laying out the course to Steven Foster.

Also I can bring along some "clover" honey. Just enough bottles for the trip expenses.

I figger 10 bottles of honey and 4 bales of the clover. Each bale will weigh approx 40 pounds.

Sweets for the livestock.

My 9N has a six blade pusher in it, sure helps keep me cooler in hot weather, instead of pulling that hot air back on me. From what I"ve read, they were common in higher altitudes and specially in alfalfa fields.
 
pushers help in winter too
sure don't need/want a breeze on me at zero degrees!
They also help a little to keep snow away from the front distributor
