can someone help me out. I have a Ford 8 rebuilt carburetor. New plugs wires points condenser cap!tractor has been sitting in a while all new fuel tank in line. The only way I can keep it running is put gas in the intake with a squirt bottle seems to run pretty decent but won't suck gas on its own.front mount distributor not sure of year.

You want to have at least three gallons of clean fuel in the tank
and turn the gas valve on about two full turns, not all the way open.

Make sure you have fuel flowing out the bottom of the carb by
removing the plug in the bottom. It should run steadily, not drizzle.
In a couple of minutes you should get about a pint out of there.
Catch that fuel and make sure it is clean and water free.

If you don't have good flow, in addition to the fuel line itself
there are three screens to check.

One in the top of the glass sediment bowl, one in the elbow going
into the carb and one above the sediment bowl assembly inside
the gas tank. I would leave that one for last.

Let us know what you find!

this is a brand new tank brand new gas brand new settlement
Bowl and sreen brand new line have plenty of gas in the bowl
runs out of plug on bottom of carburetor. won't even pop with
out squirting gas in the carburetor

Its good to have gas TO the carb, but better to have it THROUGH the carbs where its needed.

Sounds like you need to open that carb up for a look see and a thorough cleaning or rebuild.

okay so I rebuild a carburetor and cleaned it. Can someone tell
me if I did something wrong or why I'm not getting gas up to the
motor.

In your first post you said it was rebuilt, did you take it apart again?
If not, I would suggest taking it apart and running a small gauge
electrical wire through each and every passage.
Carb cleaner and compressed air are good, but not always good
enough to actually get it to run right.

Note the passage from the bowl to the drain plug.It can be plugged with rust so taking the plug out and seeing no gas flow might make you think the bowl is empty. The main jet can plug so check that first.
