Golden Jubilee

1953 was the fifty (golden anaversery) year for the Ford Motor Company ,thus the Golden Jubilee tractor built in 1953 . The same tractor was built in 1954,, not the 50th year thus not a Jubilee. Both tractors were NAA,s when it came to parts etc.

BIG RUH.........1953 was Ford Motor Company's 50th year of production of automotive stuff. In 1953, Ford changed from the 4-cyl FLATHEAD 8N to the new taller 4-cyl OHV engine which necessitated a change in hood sheet metal. As a result, Ford made a NEW hood emblem (roundel) and between the sheaves of wheat, was the "brag" of Jubilee year. The same roundel also appeared on the 1954 NAA tractor hood. NAA was Ford "code" for tractor. In 1955, Ford produced the "Hundred" series. .........HTH, historian Dell

Thanks for the replies. For some reason 1953 didn't seem right to me. Of course I've been wrong before, just ask my wife

The 53 emblem says "golden jubilee " the 54 does not. The 54 is an naa as both were but the 53 is the celebrated model. Very good tractors and a step above the 8n in a few ways. Wife and I both born in 53 and talked of finding a nice jub of 53 heritage but still looking. Anyway that"s my knowledge from what I"ve read
