9N gas tank shut off

Got this project tractor and just removed the tank shut of valve and after taking it apart I find the sediment bowl is brass, Was this a Ford thing or aftermarket? Just curious Thanks

I haven't seen one that was brass, but it would sure make it
hard to tell at a glance if you needed to clean it or not.

Are you saying the actual bowl (that part that is usually glass and holds gas) or the valve component with a lever to turn the gas from Reserve-Off-Main?

If it's the valve, they are getting harder to find and they are prone to leak. I have one on my 41 9n (serial #64206) and I'm debating on swapping it out.
