Good front mount distributor parts are getting extremely hard to find. Most likely what you have purchased were TISCO parts which are junk. NAPA sell Echlin parts which have been good in the past. Rotor FA300, cap FA350. You can call Just8ns and see what they have but the last cap I got from them was a TISCO. However, the cap did work OK. You can call this site but I think all they have is a TISCO cap. Good luck. Think about converting the tractor to a side distributor.

Wait, I didn't know there was a conversion kit! Don't want to high jack thread, but I want to know more about this.

Well,...........the best "conversion kit" is to swap tractors! Starting with a front mount & trying to change it to a side mount, you run into many things. Different cam shaft, cam gear cover, generator needs to be moved to left side (oops, the oil fill tube is too far forward to clear generator) (oops, there are no cast bosses in left side of block to mount generator) (oops, the oil filter is too far forward, too, but not to fret, a new cylinder head with filter bolt holes further to rear is available & new oil lines, too) (oops, no timing port or marks on flywheel, that are needed to time a side mount) & I probably forgot something. Of course, an innovator can overcome all this with enough time & money.

I did forgot to mention that there are no holes in the head to mount the coil. What else??

Good - I haven't missed anything! I saw that and thought "how can there be a kit that does that?" Course, they put mags on the war models so I thought maybe it was possible.

I'll just soldier on with the frontie.
