I'm working on a 9N with no lift. No movement of the lift arms at all.
They are free to move when lifted by hand.
Some info that may or may not be relevant: a tree fell on this tractor.
One of the limbs bent the quadrant, throttle plate, steering wheel
and the gear shift lever. No broken or cracked cast or covers etc.
I straightened all the steel pieces up pretty easily.
PTO is on and working correctly. Ran a manure spreader with it.
I took the inspection cover off and made sure the forks were
attached to the T and that the control valve was free.
When I move the touch control lever down it moves the forks and
the control valve to the rear of the tractor, but it springs back up.
I have a handful of new friction disks when I get to that point.
When I move the touch control lever up, there is no movement of
the forks or the valve. I have the quadrant tilted all the way back.
I carefully reached in with a pry bar, tractor/PTO running and moved
the forks forward to move the control valve to the front.
Still no lift at all. I do not see any swirling or bubbles in the oil.
I have not put a hose on the relief valve yet.
I was hoping this would be an easy fix, but maybe not.
Hopefully you guys can straighten me out and get me on the right track.
Any suggestions on what to look at next? Pump maybe?
I'm sure there's something I missed along the way!
